Emulator without GPU emulation detected. What Is GPU? Android Studio

What is GPU? It stands for Graphical Processing Unit. The use of a GPU can greatly increase the performance of things like 3D gaming. It can be a co-processor or part of the main CPU chip. The whole idea is to process graphics in a dedicated faster place.

You might get the error “Emulator without GPU emulation detected”  or something similar when you run your app in an emulator. I don’t think it an error more of a warning that you might be able to use the GPU. I stand to be corrected.

How do you fix this error? If you go to your emulator configuration (manage your emulators in AVD) there is a check box like  “Use Host GPU”. I suppose this emulates a GPU on the virtual device. 🙂
